Gunsmoke Birdsall 38

Kevin Gunn and Clare Vale

An offshore veteran and part-time home to Kevin and Clare, Gunsmoke is currently the biggest boat in the fleet and is untouchable on a reach. The only saving grace for the rest of us is a tendency on the part of the owners to back off a little if the home comforts in the cabin start bouncing around too much
Standing Ovation Whiting 29

David and Sonya Prchal and family

Claims to be kept in cruising mode but more than capable of taking it out on her day. This boat is occasionally infested by a Laughing Gnome
Seabird III Young 30 (you didn't guess that, did you?)

Seabird has served two TSPYC commodores

Doug Meredith
Heartbeat Young 88

Murray and Charmaine Soljak and family

Makes my heart beat!
Penguin Uffa Fox design

John Holdsworth (co-owner)
Navara Carpenter 37
Silver Link One-off 34-foot design by Jim Young. Built in double-diagonal kauri and launched in 1976. Purchased by Ray Marks and brought to Tutukaka in 2011
Elliott 7.9
Pocket Rocket Wright 650

Barry North

The only boat in the TSPYC fleet with flames down the sides. With two trapezes, a carbon prod and gennakers, Pocket Rocket tends towards the boy racer end of the spectrum - which makes her a bold choice for one of our more senior members.
Ian Russell

Another boat that is more than capable of taking it out in the right conditions, often with a solo helmsman.

Overdue for another appearance on the racetrack!
Yorktown 39

Dr Chris and Darlene Buckley and family
Senior design

Built and owned by Ted and the late Peter Smith

Currently much-appreciated committee boat for the TSPYC race fleet
Target Tutukaka/Sugarloaf Race 2010 The annual lap around the Sugarloaf at the southern end of the Poor Knights group - a ton of fun!
Winter Series 2010 - final race Race 8 of the 2010 Winter Series, Sunday 29 August 2010
Whangaruru Weekender 2010
Target Tutukaka/Sugarloaf Race 2011 The annual lap around the Sugarloaf, sailed on 5 February 2011
Mimiwhangata Overnighter April 2011
Spring Series 2011
Storm conditions etc There aren't many times when it is better to be on land but these are some of them
Restless Townson 33

Preferred weapon of Ray Marks for many a year. A beautifully-behaved boat for an occasionally badly-behaved owner...did I say that? Sold in 2009 - some are still recovering from the farewell party.
Delta Lady Noelex 30

Alfred Nitsche
Betty Blue Elliott 9

Colin Read and Jenny Taylor

Mr Elliott designs a fast boat, and this one also had the advantage of having been built by Craig Partridge in Kerikeri
Soul Expression Beale 33

Beautifully built and maintained by Steve and Sharon Croft

A successful competitor at Tutukaka, now based in Opua. Crofty still joins us for the occasional race
